Hi All,
I am working as a Senior Software Engineer.Basically I am into Application Programming and Maintainence.I have been mainly working on VC++/MFC technologies from the past almost 3 years.I am into doing enhancements to the existing applications, provide support ie bug fixing, and also have done testing. Now I want to switch my domain to SAP for a challenging career ahead.
I would like to know how easy/difficult is it for a person from a different domain to learn SAP ABAP.
If at all i go for SAP course from an authorised training center only(Seimens),as people say it is valid, what are the chances of me getting a job in the same domain ie SAP as i have seen most of the links stating that its the "experience" that counts ie a person must be a part of a complete "implementation" cycle. Also is it true that the companies prefer certified ABAP professionals only.
Kindly guide me as I am pretty much serious of changing the domain in which i am in as i hardly find any growth in it.

Warm Regards,

Doing SAP ABAP will not be difficult for a person who come from technical background(IT). Yes its always better that you do SAP in Authorized centers only. There are other authorized centers apart from Siemans which you can get by clicking the link mentioned below
SAP Asia Pacific Japan - Education Partners
To get into technical module like ABAP its not necessary to have domain experience. Yes certified professionals have better chance always!!
