En cashment of el leaves - can any organization deny sighting their internal policy?
Hi all could anyone throw light on the encashment of el leaves for employees? if the employee has > 20 el leaves balanced at the time of relieving of his duties in a particular organization can any organization deny sighting their internal policy of nonencashment of el leaves regardless of any particular position in the organization?

An open leave policy is a policy wherein the employer gives flexibility to the employees on the no. of leaves and when to take them. in other words there is no fixed no. on the leaves no categorization of leaves as sick/casual/earned/special leaves. now open leave policy has its own pros and cons. in my organization there was an open leave policy structure but it affected us adversely coz a particular department took leaves as high as 3040 days p.a. a particular department wasn t able to avail leaves so frequently. people not taking leaves weren t able to distinguish themselves as they weren t recognized. so we switched to the traditional max. x leaves p.a. policy. you need to figure out how the policy would impact your organization depending on the nature of work industry/sector you fall into and kind of people. wish you luck and hope it helped :

I am working in an organization from last 16 years and accumulated about 200 leaves. out of which maximum 60 would be encashed at my retirement due after 10 months. can i take my balance leaves without assigning any reason or what are my rights if company does not allow leaves without any specific reason. please guide.

I want to know whether we can carry forward sick leaves and causal leaves for the next year? whether these leaves are incashable? if the employee is leaving the organizationwhether all type of leaves get encashed or only earned leaves get incashable
