Dear recruiters,
i am one of the Hr currently recruiting for telecalling profile for a KPO comapny in Gurgaon and Delhi.
now a days, people are not reverting for interviews, every day 5-6 cadidates commit to come for interview, but they dont appear on time.
is it a trend now a days in BPO/KPO industry? I came accross with various reasons for the same like:
exam season
every one carrying more then one offer in hand
i hope that you also coming across with same reasons. is that correct? is it really happening? or there are other reasons behind that.
what you says. I am not from a consultancy, so i m not aware exactly and trying to find out reasons whether others also facing the same problems or we are going on wrong path.

The problem is rampant and almost all the recruiters face it on a per day basis.
It has no solution either because there is such a big chunk of candidates who are doing this, that it sometimes becomes extremely difficult rather embarrassing for recruiter. Part of the reason is our own culture in which we do not assign value to what we say or promise. If there were an exam or an alternative offer than there would have been no need to commit to come for interview.
From our own study , we have found out that the ratio for candidates turn up is 1: 5 i.e. every 5 candidates who commit to come up for interview only 1 turn up ( Specific to BPO industry) . So, in our opinion, the solution is that if you want 5 turn ups , then line up around 25 candidates on an average.

Yes, this is a trend that we face everyday and solution given by Team group HR is what every consultancy firm does. In addition to that, since now days everyone has multiple opportunities to choose from, so that commit but when they get a better opportunity they do not turn up. Solution to this problem is being identified but till that time, we have to live with this situation.

as l think the reason behind this is almost many of young knows the policy of kpo/bpo with respect to holidays, paid leaves, shifts, per second performance along with quality parameters and overtime.
as l have seen in bpo
1.they don't get paid holidays infact they have log in even on 26th Jan, 15th Aug, Election day, 1st may (which is the labour day); Diwali laxmi pujan.
2.They are not allowed to log out until they get replacement.
3. salary is generally not paid on time; infact given by check that too late so that no one can go in absconding without working extra day days for company.
4. They have keep performance along with time maintenance n customer satisfaction.
l have given here only those ideas which i know. i know there are many +ve points as well but i think even if needy the employee will always try to get job not only with high salary but also with respect n proper sick leave facility.
