Dear Seniors,

Please find the below case and suggest me how to go about

1. I am drawing more than 10,000 salaries so I had the benefits of TTK where my medical benefits will be reimbursed
2. Presently there is a updating from ESI that the wage ceiling for the ESI is from 10,000 t0 15,000 so I come under ESI now with effect from 1-May-2010
3. Presently i am pregnant and my delivery date is 11th July 2010 so I am facing the below problems please clarify me how to go about
4. I am getting regular medical checkup in the private hospital (family doctor) who is very good and I trusted her so much so I donít want my doctor to get changed
5. Please let me know where do I need to claim my medical benefits, is it from ESI or TTK medical benefits
6. Am I eligible for 3 months maternity leave payment,
7. Since my contribution for the ESI will not be sufficient for the benefits claiming, Please let me know what to do now

Hi,
Assuming that your company has paid the insurance permium for the full year for mediclaim, you need not have to get bothered about this.
Having paid the premium for one year you can not be deprived of the benefits from TTK ( That is the service provider I Guess) Also ESI would not give you immediate benefit since it requires a certain minimum period of coverage under the contribution period.
So even if you are covered by ESI, you may get the meternity benefit from your earlier insurance only to whom the full premium has already been paid.

Thank you Mr. Dayanand,
My only concern is once i transfer to ESI I was informed that mediclaim will be automatically cancel,
Is there any chance that I will be getting maternity leave ( with pay) from the company

Dear Vinuta
since ESI can not give you immediate coverage and benefits, your company must insist from TTK and get all the benefits. Otherwise they are lieable to pay ML with pay as prescribed under maternity benefit act.
