Dear Friends,
Please let me know how to maintain discipline in the organisation. If some performer/ pampered employee is not honouring the office timing, leaves etc, then what should be the strategy of HR to maintain uniformity in the organisation. Other shouldnot demotivated because of such indiscipline activities.
Best Regards,
Swatee

Dear Swatee,
If it is an act of ignorance, you don't need to act accordingly to the employee. rather you shall have a counseling session with that particular employee and ask him/her to give you a written statement on his/her act of negligence. If not satisfied you shall give a warning letter and if still continuing with the same then shall terminate him/her.

Dear Swatee,
Any performance - good, very good or excellent is on above meeting basic requirements of organisation. Good performance is no substitute for discipline. Discipline is the foundation of organisation. Weak foundation will lead to problems in future. Equality of is the base of justice. Start taking strong note of late coming or any act of indiscipline. Slowly it will change culture of your company.
Thanks,
Dinesh V Divekar
