Dear Joyeeta,
In my view we do not find any format under any of the labour law rules for getting exemption from the appropriate authority for maintenance of records electronically. It will be better to contact the local labour office to have know how on the subject. My area of working is Haryana State & we in Haryana apply to Labour Commissioner, Haryana for such type of exemption requesting this office to grant this exemption on letterhead pad of the unit.

Dear Mr Khola
Thanks for your response. It is of much help. Just one more query - Only the application for exemption should work fine or we need to attach any other documents with the application made in letter head. Secondly, should we have any proper HRIS system/ portal for maintaining attendance or maintaining in excel sheet is fine.
Thanks
Joyeeta

Dear Joyeeta, In my opinion while applying for exemption one should details out the statutory requirement & what method the management wish to adopt for maintenance of record. Regards, R N KHOLA
