Hi friends,
How much time do you think a HR Executive (who has got 1.5 years of experience as a generalist) should take in setting up the HR Department.
This question was asked by a friend of mine. In past 03 months after joining a company he has done the following:
  • Prepared Job Descriptions of all the positions in his company
  • Organization chart
  • He is in process of preparing company manual and building employee database
  • Subsequently, he is also looking after the funtions like hiring (for current open positions) and other administrative activities.
Now the question is should he be satisfied with his current performance of 03 months or he is very slow in doing the things.
Though he has many ideas for his company in implementing other organizational development plans.
I solicit your views on this subject !

Dear, Your question purely depends on to the industry for which your friend is working for and it gain purely depends on to the performance dependability of your friend..
Hi Mahesh,
The most important thing is, he is employed in Gulf, he doesnt know Arabic (As most of the documents, payroll software is in Arabic), he is working with a trading company.
The HR Dept of his company is not properly set-up and he is responsible for streamlining the processes.
