New Developments in HR dept
Hello seniors,
Am working for a MNC manufacturing organisation
Begining year 2009 due to recession there was no much of HR activities in our company & were concentrating on cost cutting etc etc...
By end of the year i delivered a boy baby & was on maternity leave, reported back on duty from yesterday.
Requesting seniors to guide/help/advice/update on developments or improvements that i could introduce in HR dept accordingly.
I want to do something very interesting for our organisation & employees.
Looking forward for your help....
Regards
Vidya

Hi Vidya,
Congrats for your motherhood.
Vidya, I suggest you can conduct few training programs and other Training games for your employees. This will create an atmosphere of enthusiasm.
Along with with this, You can have weekly session where you can update them on the recent HR trends, Business case studies etc.,
Let me know if you require my help in organizing these things.

Hi there,
Your question is an open ended question In order to be able to help you I need to have the following information;
What is your organist ion training and development strategy,
What is your organization performance appraisal system,
Copy of your HR Manual/ Policy
What are the policies you have in your organization
These are the areas that I might be able to add my inputs in so if you provide me with that information I might be able to help you improve

Hi!!!
Vidya.
There r lots of things to do in HR. But the thing is management support in much needed aspect. If u have good convincing power then their are lots of thing to do.
In economy downturn HR plays a very significant role. You can analyse which area of organisation is having problem. With that data you can plan for training & development programme. By giving motivational training you can enhance the morale.
Thanks & Regads,

Dear Vidya,
Since recession has hit your organisation as well, you can do some of the following things:
1> Organize employee engagement activities to boost the morale of the employees.
2> Study the salary trends in your organisation vis-a-vis the market and make suitable recommendations (Remuneration survey).
3> Introduce new topics in the training calender such as Enhancing personal effectiveness, Motivating a team, Leading Teams, Mentorship etc.
4> Analyze the attrition, if any in your organisation and make a presentation wrt the causes, new company details etc.
5> Understand the new Tax rules and ESIC rules.
