Our company's month calculation is like 26th to 25th of every month, hence march month 28 days will come. For example, one employee joined on 31st march, Actually he has presented for full days, but in this case whether we can give 28 or 31 days salary and if it is 28, balance Feb 3 days will consider in the next month. It will be a problem of PF, ESI and PT etc.
Normally for what purpose we are calculating like this (26th to 25th), only for leave calculation or any other... but in salary preparation after 25th can we assume he will be present. Suppose after 25th he will be taking leave or resign (with out information) how we will consider this. Please advice ASAP.

Dear Smith,
You need not consider the days when you pay the salary. Whether it is 28 days or 30 days or 31 days, you need to pay the full salary (30 days) if there is no LOP. Incase if there is any LOP, it will be divided with the no of days in that particular month.
If an employee joins on 31st of march, his salary will be paid in the month of April only. Because you salary calculation period is from 26th to 25th of every month.
This days calculation will not affect any PF. ESI or PT at any cost. So you need not worry about it.
The purpose of calculating salary days from 26th to 25th is, we can hold the employees 5 days salary for a security purpose. As you mentioned, if an employee resigns his job after 25th, the 5 days salary will kept on hold. Once he cleared all the NO DUES to the company, the company can release his settlement.

Dear Smith,
First of all tell me how do you calculate salary in your organization. Will it be salary / 30 working days * no of days present or salary / 26 working days * no of days present or any other ways.
Then you shall normally calculate the salary even though a person joins in the midst of any month. Again these things won't effect the other contributions or deductions according to the law.
The pay period is normally classified according to the management specification. There is no much reason behind the pay period starting from 25th of one month to 26th of another month. Some companies do that for in regards to retention or absconding of employees as some part of his/her pay would always remain in the company until the final clearance is made with the concern department.
