Dear Murali,

It is your call and you may decide on whether to continue with Hotel Industry or not.

In Bangalore, hospitality industry is growing leaps and bounds. There will be great monetary gain if you continue with this industry.

On the flip side, the hospitality industry is quite clannish. These guys don't have learning attitude.

I am member of NIPM, NHRD and so on. I never found HR chap of hospitality industry attending any time any guest lecture or seminar of these prominent HR bodies. Beyond grooming, body language and oral communication nothing matters to them in this world.

Manufacturing may pay you less but there is scope of learning about quality aspects like ISO, six sigma etc and so on. Secondly, if you work in manufacturing industry, your knowledge of IR and statutory goes your blood.

I have tried to put pros and cons of both the sides.
