I have query regarding Labour welfare fund , that what is the excat amt to be paid to Maharashtra Govt is it Rs. 12/- or there are slabs like PT in it?

Dear,
The mode of deduction in Maharashtra is half-yearly, i.e., June & Dec are deduction months. The contribution for the employee is Rs. 12 for six months & Rs. 36 per six months for the employer, totaling Rs. 48. Contributions are to be deposited half-yearly by the 10th of July & 10th of January, respectively, for the periods ending in June & December. This information is as per the details gathered from LLR July 2009 edition.
