Dear All,
Its been 10 years I am working with Retail Sector. I am a part of front end management team working as a 'Store Ops Manager'.
But I got quite sick of the profile of handling front end operations & trying my best to find a suitable opening in Corporate / Backend sector. But till now i am unable to find a one. The more I am trying to find a job in backend part, the more i am getting calls for front end part only.
Consequently I am very frustrated & not enjoying my profile at all. I do not have any issue with Retail Industry, but this is the front end profile which is killing me slowly & slowly. Kindly help.......

Dear ankur.roy,
i can understand that you need a change. I would suggest you not to get frustrated because the profile which you are is a front end manager or anything in that kind. I certainly am sure that you would have posted your profile on to some job portals. The only reason why you get calls for the same position is nothing but the job profile which you are working on right now.
I could suggest you to stop posting in the job portals and you to search for the job by your self in the same job portals. make sure that you call up the company after posting and try to have a word with the concern recruitment manager about your interest and ask them for a chance for interview where they would be able to match your skill set.
If you are frustrated and nervous, you wont be able to give your 100 % on your search and that would also affect your performance in interviews. Remember chances are very rare...

If searching on some of the prominent job portals not helping than make a search on Job Aggregators, they most likely to fetch you jobs soon.
I am sure you must be aware of several, incase you aren't, try SimplyHired, Recruit.Net, etc..

Hi Ankur,
It might sound bit little Philosophical, but true do not get frustrated and do not hurry, work on it in a cool state of mind. Please read the following steps.
1. Initially ask your self where you want to be I mean Exactly the kind of Job that interests or attracts you,
2.Look for the institution who will train you in the selected profession. Please get trained professionally .......(yes initial investment u will have to do, do not worry it will be returned to you in it's own way. more over it will gain more confidence in you because if you are trained in that profession you can render your service with full confidence and you can go t o higher position very soon.)
3. Then Update you resume well and post it in main Job portals,
4. Be prepared for Interview and be prepared for the question relating to the field change
All the best.

@Vijaya-He must have done, what you advised? I mean just look at the date when he started this thread, its mid-February. Keeping cool for this amount time becomes difficult.
Other than that your other suggestions makes sense, especially the skill addition.
