Dear all
I am confuse in section 2(d)i of Boc act,our company is engaged in structural, erection work of Power plant.
ALC of respective state is compling us to get restration under act as per section 2(d) i but our work is not of civil work, but still we are not registered.
Pls suggest it (BOC act )applicable to our company or not?
Regards
Sacheein

Dear Sacheein,
In my opinion ALC seems to be right in implementing this law. We do not find any section 2(d)i in this BOCW Act, 1996. Building Or other construction work is defined at section 2(d) & according to this definition your work seems to be covered under work relating to construction, transmission & distribution of power.
