Hi Sudha

I guess you are frustrated since you job profile has shifted from administration to marketing. This has made you uncomfortable and with little or no guidance from your bosses, the situation has become frustrating.

In my view, you should ensure you have a good written profile of your organization with you, understand the business offer that you can make to a prospective client, analyze the profile of the prospective clients and then get a senior to accompany you on a couple of calls.

Fix up a routine, where by you make calls to HR / recruitment heads and seek an appointment. Then ensure you keep your appointment and meet them and make your sales pitch. You must bear in mind that your initial efforts may not produce any results, but if you are persistent, you will improve your sales pitch with each call. Where you do not have appointments. do make cold calls and try to meet up with prospective employers.

I am certain that you will get your confidence back the moment you bag your first client.
