Hello Yaseer,

One of the main reasons for which companies conduct induction programs is to make employees aware of the company and its core standards.

A detailed explanation of all types of policies related to leaves, health, working conditions, core standards, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and related matters is discussed.

By the end of the program, an employee is aware of the requirements before they can actually start their work.

Please let me know if you need anything else. Thank you.

Dear Yaseer,

Induction training is one of the powerful means of shaping the organization's culture. In addition to what Mr. Reddy has mentioned, in induction training, the following is also discussed:

a) Organization's vision
b) Organization's mission
c) Organization's business objectives
d) Company history with a brief about leadership
e) Achievements by the company
f) Company's organization chart with the position of the individual.

It is induction training that shapes employees' attitudes. Because of induction training, employees are conveyed:

g) Over here what is important
h) Over here what is valued/respected/rewarded

In a few companies, induction training is conducted just for a day or two. A company like Infosys (software giant of India) spends about 2 weeks on induction training.

In induction training, newly joined employees are also taught methods of internal and external communication, business etiquette, how to use HRIS, and so on.

Ok...
