Hi All,
I am into IT recruitments and working for a Global IT Company, the challenge that I am facing right now is, candidates are not turning up for interviews. Despite the brand name, my own follow up with at least 3 calls and reminders and emails, candidates are not coming for interviews on the scheduled date and time. the marring aspects could be:
1. Rush at venue, we are looking at high targets
2. Easy availability of interview opportunities in the market
3. Better pay packages, my client is indeed not a paymaster
Can someone help me with this, any out of the box thinking that can make the candidates come for the interviews, all recruiters here, its a challenge for all of us, lets get a solution for it!

I would like to suggest you to recruit employees through consultancies. By doing so, you can make the recruitement agencies responsible for the candidate not coming for the interview on the scheduled date and time.
In a way, it will reduce your headache also and as the recruitment agency has to maintain its name in the market, they also will take utmost care that the candidate turns up for the interview.
The recruitement agencies can be commanding over the candidates that if they don't turn up on the scheduled date and time, their resumes will not be considered for future reference.
Hope the above should satisfy you. If anybody is having a different solution to the problem, requested to please suggest Rakhi for the same.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. We have applied that.
Well I do not think there is too much difference between us and consultancy ppl. we normally get the same kind of response from them. This is just shifting the blame, it has not given any improvement in results.
There has to be a solution, something innovative if anyone can suggest

Agree with you..blame shud not be shifted to consultant..
As it recruiter in Mnc company face the problem of candidates, not turn up for the interview...the same consultant also face...
Placement consultant use to follow up prior to the interview by dropping mails to candidate,phone calls etc...
even then after confirmation of interview by candidate,they didnt turn uo for the interview. & Client use to shout at Consultant....
Just by shifting the blame on consultants..its not good........
Kindly requesting the HR to suggest some innovative solutions which help both(company &placement consultant)
