Hi i want to know that accumulated sl can be lapsed or not ? is this would be illegal if we lapse all the sl of employees in coming year ? for example : if an employee have 15 sl as balance of year 2009 can it be lapsed or we have to carry forward these leave in next year?
How much el & cl,sl etc will be granted to the employee in a year?
I want to ask regarding the leave policy on following points: 1how much el & clsl etc will be granted to the employee in a year? 2how much we can accumulated in ayear. 3how many types of leave can we carry forward & encasehable. 4how we will calculated as on calender year or financial year. 5what is the formula for calculating the elcl sl or other all leave . 6 how many working day the employee may be entitiled for the el other all leave. 7how much total day should be required for calculating the el cl & other leave. 8actually how many types of leave as per the leave policy. 9shall we give el clml to the contractor labour.& if we will not give then it is encashable at the time of resignation. kindly give me reply for all my quiries in detail if i have miss some pints regarding the leave policy. please explain in detail about the all leave 7 other leave.

Hi my office is in gurgaon and falls under punjab shops and establishment act. we currently have 18 el 7 cl and 7 sl. the el can be carried upto a year hwoever cl and sl expire at the end of each year. we have no policy of adjusting leave against notice period or leave encashment. i am trying to modify the policy saying allow accumulation of el upto 60 days and allow sl to be carried to up to a certain number. please advise sl can be carried for how many days. also is their any law pplicable. also can a few please share their leave policies. many thanks

Greetings all hr fraternities please help me in calculating el for the year 2013. my company partnership firm comes under tamilnadu shops and establishment act 1947. as per the company policy we are eligible for 15 days el and 7 days sl and no cl. i have taken 5 days sl from 01.12.13 to 05.12.13 only.hr manager calculates and says that iam eligible for 14 encashment only for this year. kindly clarify is it 14 days or 15 days of leave encashment for me since i have 2 more sl credits this year and not used any el this year. thanks and regards saravana prakash
