There is no specific rules stipulated for paid holidays, however, 3 national holidays like Republic Day, Independence Day and GAndhi Jsayanthi is mandatory, apart form that any three/five holidays can be chosen, it depends tghe type of organization, suppose you are working for a transport sector or hotel industry there it depends upon the volume of business, in case a wrokman who works on these days can be considered overtime/office staff it is compensatory holiday
