We are paying bonus Rs 8,400/-(20%- Max as per Bonus Act) to our employees. From next year we would like to introduce exgratia with bonus.

My query --- can we pay rs 10,000/- as exgratia and bonus 8400? Is there any limit or any calculation relation with bonus (which we are presently paying)?

You can very well pay Bonus @20% Bonus + Exgratia. But my sugesstion is do not pay exgratia alongwith bonus. Pay it seperately, having link with performance of employee, may be teremed as performance incentive. If u pay bonus and exgratia together it may become precendent. In long run when u have deviate from this equation it may be problematic may give rise to Industrial Dispute.

Dear Sir,
Our company paid an extratia in the first year of 2007-08 financial year. After 2008-09 onwards started the bonus as per the Bonus Act.
Sir, now one left employee (financal year 2007/08) claimed to get the bonus. Sir, Please advise us it is legally pay or not.

Dear Sir,
Our company at Alwar having base at Chennai is closing unit here and transferring employees to Chennai/Hosur. But employees are not willing to go to Chennai.
Can we settlement will be done in this case for the employees not going to Chennai and what can be asked for settlement of a/cs compensation, grauity bonus etc.
