Can somebody guide me on what should be the JD of Hardcore IR, and the core competencies of IR personnel.

The following are the key deliverables of Hard Core IR position.

a) Minimum disruption in the normal activities of the organization due to IR situation.

b) Resolving the grievances in minimum time with optimized costs.

c) Arriving at and amicably settling the wage or any other negotiation.

d) Proper representation of the facts before the legal forums through your legal consultants and winning the disputes.

f) Resolving Situations like go- slow, flash strike, stay in strikes, tool down, work to rule

g) effective running of grievance redressal machinery.

The following core skills are a must for an IR professional.

a) Thorough understanding of labour laws , special reference to disciplianry processes, domestic enquiry.

b) Drafting is a highly required skill. Must know the difference between advisory, warning memo. charge sheets, show case notices, second show causes, drafting or orders following the conclsuion of the domestic enquiry. Drafting of apt and appropriate notices in local language.

c) High level of inetrpersonal skills.

d) handling stressful and mob situations.

e) PR skills, especially with the labour and police department.

f) Counselling.
