Dear Vijay,
Its nice to know that you are interested in SAP.
One should have the process knowledge before going in for any ERP - let it be SAP or Oracle.
Hence I would recommend you to be in HR department till such time you learn full cycle of all HR related processes before you enter into ERP.
All the very best.

Hi Vijay
Good that you are interested to take up SAP
But let me tell you one thing ,though you can take up SAP HR/HCM you need to have minimum of 2-3 years of domain experience and this is mandatory ..however still you can do it but you will find difficulty in finding the JOB If you are doing in the Autorised education partners they might not allow you to do this at this time If you are going for unauthorised ones - they will give you the admission and my suggestion is dont do it in unauthoresed SAP if you want more details you can contact me (naveen.saldanha@gmail.com)

hi Poonam
If you have jusst 3 months of HR experience you will not be able to do SAP -HR coz .HR is very vast for that you should have thorrough knowledge all the HR functions .In SAP they will not teach you anything about HR they only teach you h ow to integreate your HR knowledge to SAP HR module
for Eg.how to enable self appraisal link to all the employees when you want to conduct self appriasal and how to set the parameters for that.
here thy will not teach what is self appraisal and different parameters involved .they assume you know t hat but they will train you how to enable the link etc how to use the SAP software
so you need to have total of Two years of experience get experience in Payroll and leave mangement statuatory report generation that really helps .dont get into jobs like IT recruitment

Well i am handling generalist profile of HR, but yes the exposure is less
