Hello Everyone. I am working as Manager – Admin in a Public Limited Company. Our Company is situated in rural area and therefore all the employees are mainly from rural area. The main problem we face is Absenteeism.
They are least interested in taking pre sanctioned leaves. This causes failure of planning and production. We had introduced an appraisal system and also then we tried a fine system or punishment for Absenteeism but both the ways it did not work. Please suggest actions to reduce Absenteeism.

I feel you can try below 2 options.
1. Introduce Rating cards for individual which will be considered in appraisal process. Parameters like punctuality, delivery, productivity ect.
2. Introduce seperate policy where u can restrict no of leaves allowed for a month.
