Hi,
You can do on different aspects and set measures accordingly like:
1. Financial - How much business is bought by the individual
2. Customer satisfaction and feedbacks received
3. Excellence in implementation of processes, RFPs, bids and tenders won and alignment with the business goals for qtr/mid yr/annual.
4. Participation in Industry forums
5. Self development, knowledge building and sharing

Even we have business development mangers in our company, we consider the following parameters as KPA for them,
a) How much database of customers are created
b) How much inputs are given for improvising the product/service offered
c) How many successful tieups/allainces are done
d) How many new geographies are explored
e) How many leads are generates
f ) How fast the customer is responded after enquirey etc
these are some of the imp parameters
