Hi Did you get the list of the minimum holidays under Shops and Establishments Act from anyone? If yes, can you please send the same?

Dear
Minimum statutory national & festival holidays are granted by the employers under their respective State Shops & Establishment Act & therefore you should go through your State Shops Act for having knowledge on these holidays.

All respective States has National Festival Holiday Act. It means National Holidays & Festival Holidays. National Holiday Remains the same for all respective states - Republic Day(Jan 26th), Independence Day (15th August), Labour Day( May 1st), Gandhi Jayanthi (2nd October) & [Kannada Rajaythosava(1st Novemeber) this differs state wise]. Then Comes Festival Holidays. Each state Governement declares list of Holidays every year wherein karnataka state goverment declared 24 Holidays and every employer has to choose 5 Festival Holdays out of the list only. Then prepare a covering letter & please submit to Labour Department on or before 30th December every year. After Seal from department please display in company premises.
