360 degree feedback is divided in four quadrents i.e taking feedback of an employee from his/her superior,subordinate ,colleagues and self
whereas 1 more quadrent is added is 720 degree feedback i.e from the cliets/customers.it is mostly in the service based organization whose services are used by customers or clients.

self 90 + fellow 90 + supervisor 90 + sub ordinate 90 = 360
customer 360 = 360
360 +360 =720
What we see often on TV or news paper as add "Our client speaks for us". These are mostly for real estate, computer company, cell comany and so many.

Hi to all,
As far as I know about 360 degree performance appraisal, the concept means you are evaluated by all relevant people around you including yourself. If there are clients/customers included -still 360 degree appraisal. I have no idea what would 90 degree appraisal mean. It seems senseless to name self-appraisal 90 degree apraisal.
And if 720 degree appraisal is the one which is made twice for the same people after some period of time it is still senseless for me. The companies which use 360 degree appraisal system usualy do the appraisal every year for the same people.
But anyway, it is a only a question of concepts...

Hi friends i am doing my MBA in HR and very recently we had a discussion on 720 degree fedback in our class..so the concept does exist ..we were left to search for answers but may be it involves a feedback from industry experts, consultants, shareholders(all stakeholders in brief) about the employees performance with respect to industry standard...i wud be thankful if anyone shares more knowledge about the area.. :)
