Please let me know the procedure how one should go for tie ups with hotels. As our staff mostly go out for training and for exhibitions out of mumbai. Should i go for memebership with hotels or there is any other way. Please tell me which will be best and cheap way for tie up.

Sachin Koshe here you can directly tie up with hotels but at the same time if you go through a agent that will give you good scope as u dont have to take care of rates and reservation part

Better visit to the Hotel Manager first and ask them whole idea about your plan and budget size and accordingly you can bargain with them as one package.
This simple things don't need any agent or dalal because they eat your money and tells you the same story of Hotel Manager told them.
Visiting and Meeting Hotel Manager does not require special qualification of skills. But you need skills to evaluate actual tariff of the hotel and rebet on their each item they quote.

Thanks for the information, you are absolutely right but still you can try out once a agent coz
a) He definitely has better negotiation power
b) he can give u good credit what a Hotelier may or may not give
c) he will have wider option in metros and leisure destination
d) he has a pre purchased hotel room
e) he can make things complimentary
f) it will be his headache to give you a business itinerary
g) he has a better product to deliver coz of his relations with hotel not only at once city but everywhere
f) believe me gone those days when AGENTS use to earn a handsome commission
Just try out once with a good and proffessional agent,experience and relations matter while negotiation
