In case your management is supportive of smoking ban, you can pursue the matter and ban smoking in entire organization. But this will definitely hurt and offend your boss, be prepared.
In case your MD / CEO himself is a smoker then ban will remain a dream only.
Some members have very innocently suggested you to counsel and request your boss to quit smoking. Your boss is well aware of ill effects of smoking and there must be lot of pressure from his spouse and kids to quit the smoking. If that pressure is not working on him then your counseling and requests are going to fail for sure.

Get an opportunity to gift him with a smoking medicene (chewing-gums which minimizes smoking habit, slowly leading to complete avaoiding the habit) which is available in the medical shops. Because the smokers would also intend of minimizing or stop the habit. But as they are accustomed, they cannot stop it. By this gift, he would understand that he is causing inconvinience to others and also there may be a chance that your gift can change his habit physically or mentally.
Good luck...
