Hi i want to the differences between Traaining and development along with their definitions
Training and development are two terms that commonly get used interchangably, however, some professionals are careful to distinguish between the words.

Training is about learning precise skills in order to better perform production tasks. An example would be practicing to glue components together in order to do so on the assembly line. Training involves specific transfer: learning a precise skill in one setting and applying that same skill in a very similar setting. Another example would be learning to balance funds in an accounting course in order to better manage project finances at work. Transfer of training can have a high success rate, because "same skills in similar environments" means a small gap is easy to transfer across.

Development is about learning general skills in order to better perform business processes. An example would be taking a negotiation seminar at a conference in order to resolve conflicts among members of a project team. Development utilizes non-specific transfer: learning a general skill in one setting and applying it in a similar way in a very different setting. Another example would be learning teamwork in a classroom exercise and returning to work with another team at the office. Transfer of development can have a low success rate, because "similar skills in different environments" means a large gap is difficult to transfer over.
