Try to capture a photo of an splitting person while splitting and develope the picture then display it in ur notice board or keep a special board for that. place the splitting picture and near that place some mouth cancer picture and write some touching words like "let all of us pray to god that for this concerned person mouth cancer should not come". Then write picture will be added whenever we got splitting photos. Then only other people will get fear automatically.

I am pained to see here that so many high level HR people,instead of understanding the problem, want to solve the problem by reprimanding the spitters.We need to accept, that this problem is NOT only with Base level workers ( i hate to call them Low level people-afterall they r humans too,with emotions ,just like their Hr Managers and CEOs) but also with many of us who may be smoking and throwing cigs,eating in public places and throwing the waste anywhere- just bcos thsese people spit in ur posh offices we address the problem here.How many of you really follow or make ur families follow 'NO LITTERING' in public places Policy? next time you litter a public place, be ready to pay the fine yourself and then talk of posting and punishing ur staff.

'CHANGE THEIR ATTITUDE-LOVINGLY and you will see that they have stopped the habit completely.'

Pl keep ur security and cctv camera money for their welfare.

Thanks Everybody for all your support and concern.

I would like to update all of you regarding the latest conditions.

First of all I called up a meeting with all the HOD's and make them aware of this problem also how these habbits effecting the employee's health and their productivity.And there should be some way to come out of this.And after all the long discussions we come to the conclusion that its our responsibilty to make our employees aware that they are doing wrong to themself.

Every Hod was responsible for their own departmental staff and start looking with more open eyes on all the activities of their staff and rectified few people who are involved into all this spitting and all.And then few days back of this diwali i arrange a meeting of the staff along with their family members and called up few doctors,NGO people and they take a one to one session of all the family and done a routine checkup of all the employees.The plus point was that the doctors were having the list of those people who are used to this pan/Gutkha.And they really make aware the family and to them the serious effects of this habbits on their health.

This get together was a real hit.And i have seen the changes in the employees.This problenm is 60% solved but i knew it will take time to make it 100% .

This problem is prevalent All over. In spite of conducting awreness programmes Doctors it is seen that people are indifferent. Very difficult to change mentality. We are becoming very much indisciplined. Stringent rules to curb this menace is the need of hour.

i need to make a presentation on "Influencing the workers for Reducing the usage of alcohol & tobacco". Please provide me me any Presenatation...its urgent dear frnds.

Hye Dsp............this has been a big problem with me too.............its an addiction..and we have tried different options..but couldnt cope with that....Just one thing worked...we have kept lots of dust bin/waste bin /drums in the different areas of work premises exclusively for this to a large extent the problem has been solved...try this, it might work for you too...

you just ask security/facilities guys to frequently checks around the premises particularly the area where this problem you are facing . I am sure your guys would found the culprits. If you found give a big class to cultures and tell them how it's bad to them towards their health and organisation. Even it doesn't works you can ask them to leave from company without any notice under the discipline action.

Dear DSP,
These all problems are facing in my company also, i tighten my security persons. they check all the employees in the gate itself. eventhough the guys are chewing the tobacco.. on that time only we announce who are all not chewing the tobacco in factory premises we give a gift for the employees at the end of every month.. now it works very good
