Hi Aruna, I really appreciate your post on `Potential Appraisal`. In my opinion, very few organizations do it as a systematic approach adopted in the whole organization, to identify, nurture and groom the talent, as a part of retention and career planning strategy. Some enterprising managers do follow that. If you can really add some actual `potential apparaisal` methodolgies followed by some of the organizations ( real life practices) , it would indeed be a great value addition to your post . well it is a new concept..potential appraisal is done to improve existing capabilities and skills of an employee so as to match future requirements of the job or in some organisations it is done for promotions and even job rotations
