hi, i new here is very gud site for hr just discovered please help i need sample of testimonial letter, staff resigned wants testimonial to pass to new company. :icon5: maria

Generally when employee leaves he may need to give a relieving letter to the new company. Following is the basic format for that

Thanks but not resignation letter, testimonial means a letter say something gud abt resigned staff, how was her character, work attitude, performance etc.. when she was still working in the company
with this testimonial letter it will promote her for new job.

This was a sample letter, you can mentioned if any specific qualities or experties you want to to make it more presentable. But normally the relieving letter is very short and simple.

PS: Every employer should issue these types of letters to the employee who genuinely contributed to the organizations growth and profits. As obvious give this letter in Company's Letter Head and don't forget to mention the contact details so the employee is able to double it up as a reference also. As common sense dictates be truthful and honest in employee appreciation, it is completely unfaithful to mention that person is punctual when the truth is that he is frequent late comer. In the period that I have interacted with (Ms. Sabrina), she not only came across as a very professionally competent person, but also a very friendly and compassionate co-worker. She has been more than willing to take on additional responsibility when the call of duty so warranted.

Hey Ronica,
I would suggest do not write such a long testimonial or appreciation letter. It should be very short and sweet. Writing such long testomonials may back fire you & the employee you are recommending. Rest is your wisdom.

remember you can not pass of an bad egg to soem other company in the process of being kind ( parting gesture I don't want to damage you)
you letter should be non judgmental, non biased , not giving opinion , but shear facts.

Hey Ronica,
Was again going through the sample appreciation letter you had written. In the letter you have counted almost 7 or 8 good qualities of the employee. If that employee is so good in work then why are you allowing her to go??? You have mentioned that in the restructring of your company you find her position as redundant, but as you are Vice President of the compnay, I understand you must be having rights to move the employee into any other department or team. NO ORGANIZATION WANTS TO LOSE ITS BEST MAN POWER. I am certain the above appreciation letter will surely damage you as well as that employee.
Any one can see that the letter is full of biased approach. As i said earlier, rest is your wisdom....Decide what you want to do!!

Dear Ronica,
Nowadays there is no letter which would be in the model which you have mentioned. The code of character would be mentioned in the experience letter itself. Still need some, do use the search tab..
