Dear All,
I wanted few suggestions from your side regarding Innovative HR Techniques, which can be used in Organisations to make it a better place to work.
Apart from the Traditional HR Activities, Which are the new & more strategic oriented techniques & activities.
Thanks,

Dear Fauzia
Every thing could be done in a new and innovative manner. To get an idea or suggestion about the same, you need to specify a single or few of the areas. Probably no one would be able to give you the answer of such an open ended question which covers alot many areas.
By the way, apart from some of the techniques, innovativeness lies in the person's ownself because the implementation again differs from organization to organization and for this you'll have to be innovative and creative.
Briefly, I would suggest you to ask about any area or specific field.

Hi,
Start with the real problem areas as well as the low hanging fruits.
Shortlist a few areas in coalition with your superiors.
Forget looking for innovative ideas, start with what u want to really cure - do not take anything for granted.

hi,
Try to understand your organistional need thro climate survey. You will come out with several requirements. They may sound very easy on paper but very difficult for implementation. Your innovation lies here ,how you implement it .
Say an example to quote :
We recruit security gaurds - all ex-serviceman- They are dedicated , sincere ,hardworking -the qualities developed over the period to serve the country.
Now we have recruited technical people from this background. We achieved 1. dedication etc plus low manpower cost
This is innovation !

Dear Fauzia
You are always welcome.....No problem. Knowledge always increases, if you share it. Most of the people avoid sharing it but I don't.
So if you do have any query regarding any of the HR area, I would try my best to help you.

HI Fauzai,
Wow..this topic is very close to my heart.. :)
Innovation can be applied to all processes when once you start playing the role of Business Manager...
For instance, reference check of candidates..just don;t rely on the inputs given by the referees ...instead speak to other people in the same organization!...would give one an honest assessment/true picture!

Dear All
In my opinion, I think the Strategic capabilities unit is an innovative HR area to create the new HR technics such as;
-Knowledge Imagineer ( Imagine Knowledge Contribution)
-Membership services( Services for customers and employees)
and Change readiness.

Judging by the employee engagement reports I read, the one best thing that HR can do to positively impact the organization is ensure that all managers and supervisors are adequately trained in management skills – and ensure that they use them.

Dear Members
Wanted to start the discussion again. This time I wanted to discuss the new concept "Employer Branding"
" EMPLOYER BRANDING IS A CENTRAL CONCEPT IN HR MARKETING"
In an Era of Dwindling Demographics, Companies and Organisations Are Trying to Attract People and to Convince Them to Become Employees. They Tend to Use Many Human Resources Marketing Techniques to Do So.
It usually answers one basic question "WHY SHOULD ANYONE JOIN THE COMPANY INSTEAD OF ANY OTHER COMPANY?
It Defines the Personality of a Company As a Preferred Employer.
It Provides Potential Employees With Information on Business, Culture and Benefits of Working for This Company.
Not Only It Is Used to Steer the Recruiting Effort, It Is Also Leading in Generating Strategies for Retention and Motivation.
The Branding During the Recruitment Period Needs to Be Confirmed Once the Candidate Becomes an Employee.

Hi ,
It would be better if we learn all the aspects in HR than to do something innovative.
Most of our seniors have already conducted many experiments , which are recorded and sometimes we are even unaware of it.
First, we have to refer HR history and try to analyse the aspects covered in it, which may take not less than 10 yrs for a learner , as it is a ocean .
Later , once confidence and professionalism is built in us, we can think of the next.
Once we have a strong hold on the field, then it would be advisable for us venture into innovative techniques.
Thank you
