Hi Vivek, a nice question ` why HR` you have posed.
I have 38 years of experience in dealing with people of all types , of all ages, of different qualifications. In this process I have identified hidden talents of many of my young colleagues, whom I decided to bring them up in career ( a benefit my superiors never gave me for more than 30 years in my career!). They have come up and become more committed fo the organization and thank me for my help. Having tasted this success, and aware of my own strengths such as good interpersonal relationship with many, patience, ability to deal with people at all levels with poise etc. , I decided to take up HR as a profession, so that I can benefit many more especially of younger generation . Also by this method , I feel I can give back to the society something in return for many good things I have gained from many many people over the years.

Put any MBAs from IIMs on "Sach ka Samna". The true answer would be : "I could not get into other specializations like Fin, Marketing, OR, Systems ... etc. " :-D

hi vivek....
I opt for hr because it suits to my nature, i am a girl who love to interact with people, i spend my time in interacting with my friends, relatives or with new people. i think i can understand the feeling of other and i always put myself in place of other and judge him/her accordingly.
In an organization HR is the one who handle employees and help them out in solving their problems. i think i can do that work in a better way so for enhancing my knowledge and to learn the technical methods to handle people i opt for HR as my specialization.

Hi Vivek,
First of all to be honest,i chose HR as my specialization in my MBA days coz i found it most easy to learn n write exams. But once when i got into it as a professional it was a challenging role. You have people from every stream, designation, levels working with you.You deal with them as per thier nature. It is mostly as you understand thier mindsets and nature's.It adds a lot of value if one is interested into psychology as well.It makes your job easy to deal with all in the organization.
i am just happy to be an HR and want to progress in it as well.
Regards,
Andrina.

Dear Vivek,
Often people mistake HR as just an supporting department, but just think once, We,the HR people are supposed to find, evaluate, assign, train and develop most valuable asset of any organisation i.e. Human resources. Any business can be conceptulised, develop and run through human brains but not mere technology, machinery or systems. Right from inception to extreme, HR people have a vital & inevitable role to play. Hope u understood why HR.
happy working..
