Dear All,
If employee works on 15th August which is National holiday in India so how many days salaty to be paid to him.
And 2nd condition if 15th August fall on Saturday, on which employee have weekly off too.... so how many days should be compensated to him.
Payments against compensation Should be as per India Labour Law.....

Hi amar
if an employee works on 15th August, he should be paid 2 days salary for the day.
if an employee having a weekly off on 15th august, and he work on that day he should be paid 2 days salary for the day of work.

The employee working on any given holiday, it tent amounts to Over Time work, and if you refer to the OT wages as given in Factories Act under Section 59 you will find that the OT wages are to paid twice the ordinary rate of wages. You study the factries act you will come to know every thing about your question.
