Hi all,

There was an evening talk organized on the Employee Pension Scheme - 1995, delivered by Dr. Ved Prakash, the Assistant Commissioner, RPFC, Baroda, on December 1, 2006. This presentation is regarding the learnings he imparted to the participants. I'm sure it would be helpful.

Different slides prepared and shown by Sri. Dr. Ved Prakash, A.R.P.F. Commissioner in Baroda are very informative and serve as a useful guide, much like an EPS 1995 law book at a glance for any reference by EPF members. These slides clarify various doubts about EPS 1995 pension norms. It was expected that all EPFO offices in India would prepare the monthly pension of EPF members according to the information provided by Dr. Ved Prakash; however, the reality is different. Not all EPFO offices are processing the monthly pensions as per Dr. Ved Prakash's slide notes. In case of non-compliance regarding EPF monthly pensions, where should one report to rectify the issue and receive the arrears of pension with retrospective effect? We need to seek guidance from CiteHR to understand how to proceed.

Dear Sir,

One employee has joined; he is an Ex-Serviceman from the army and is 52 years old. He also receives a pension. He doesn't want to join the employee pension scheme. Is it possible in EPF? Please explain.

Please check Table A (for withdrawal benefit) I think there is some typing mistake. Wage multiplier shown against service length 8 years is incorrect. It should be 8.7 in place of 5.7

Dear All,

Please review Table A of the PowerPoint presentation (for withdrawal benefits). I believe there is a typing error. The wage multiplier displayed for a service length of 8 years is incorrect. It should be 8.7 instead of 5.7. Kindly verify and confirm.
