Hi,
Can anyone tell me , about the Mediclaim policies for the employees. Let me know, as per law if this is mandatory for all the organizations to get mediclaim policies for each and every employees or its one of the benefit to the employees only.
LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS MANDATORY? IF YES KINDLY HELP ME WITH THE DETAILS.

It is not mandatory. But most of the organisations are covering their employees under the mediclaim and the charges are part of CTC.
Medi-claim is to looked from the angle of welfare activity, employees drawing beyond Rs.10000 are not covered under ESI Act. To protect such group of employees and their family membets from the health and accidents (unexpected /unfortunate happenings), HR should take lead role and convince management to cover them under scheme.

It is not mandatory. But this mediclaim acts as a social security to the employees and their dependants. Many companies process the claims through Service provider. In our company we process the claims directly with the Insurance . Company is responsible for their admission and other formalities. Employees will be in ease and their productivity is not affected by this. Employees will also be more loyal to company.

Its not mandatory but Its befited to your employees. I have done recently. Take quotes from Insurance advisiors and Oriental Insurance are giving best rates.

Medi claim will be provided to employees towards the employee benefits. Which you can segregate based on your needs like Group Medical Insurance, Group Personal Accident and many more related to that. This benefit is not mandatory however for an organization who want to take care of their employees should always go for medi claim policy .
