Actually both:
1. Evaluating the participant .. i haven't done anything
2. is the training programme is good -
Currently, we are using questionaire and also feedback on the programme, but maybe you can share if you have more effective way.

Hi Merry,
Evaluating Participants is the other way we say, Performance appraisal. PMS (Performance Management System) is seperate HR activity, which results in identification of Training needs.
Training Programme evaluation - Feed back form is primary evaluation and secondary is the PPE ( Post Programme Evaluation), which is after 3 months from the date of the programme held. In PPE, the concerned HOD will give feedback on the particular skill (on which he/she had trained) of an individual and also the merits and demerits of the programme, which is also called ROI (return on investment).

Dear Merry,
You are going to organise "Leadership Training" for what level? If it is for senior level then there is scope for pre-training but not the post-training test.
Leadership training requires lot of post-training follow-up from the senior management. What provisions you have made for that?
Leadership is a response to the situation. to check whether the response was proper, you can have the post-training evaluation after six months or one year.
Execution of training programme anyone can do but real ability of trainer lies in pre or post training evaluation.
Real success of leadership is increase in operational efficiency of the organisation. If it is not done, I can say that the training has failed. But then do you have measures of efficiency readily available?

If u are evaluating the particiants following can be done :
1. Feedback on perception about such programs to their areas of work
2. Pre and Post training - Simulation Games, Business Strategy Game etc.

However, you need a group of people to evaluate individuals on different parameters

Hi merry Before delevering the training you can test the subject with objective type of question and after delevring the training again can test with obective type of question. jaga
