Dear Saileena,
According to me your boss is trying to judge you. As you mentioned in your previous mails that in your appraisal you were always marked GOOD. And when he joined he would have gone through your teams personal files and found that out. That could be one reason for his satisfaction he is trying to evaluate you. So the best and prove yourself. Think that its blessing in disguise that you are getting an opportunity to prove yourself.
About your team members be normal whenever you see them smile and say hi and don't expect a reply. They might be behaving like this probably because your new noss would have told that you are much better than them.
So take this challenge in right spirit.
Take care and wishing you luck,
Seema Gopal

Hie you guys!

All of you have been really supportive, sweet & some even gave advices which made me feel like a slap on the face.... kidding.

Anyway, I have sincerely taken all of the advices to my heart & am trying hard to make things better. Unfortunately, till now my colleagues are still being arrogrant & rude towards me as and when I talk to them. Guess what, I just act like normal & pray to God that he should give me the strength to over come this. I mean I console myself by saying, "Come on girl, you have been through worse & made it to this point of time, so you will get pass this one too but it will take a little time". Correct guys?

Let me take this opportunity to seek for your kind forgiveness if I had acted as a fool or disturbed you guys with the silly problem. It's just that I was too hurt & didn't have anyone to talk to especially some one whom I could trust. I am a HR person but am also a normal human being with normal feelings. Sorry you guys for bothering.

Ciao. :icon10:

Dear Saileena,
I know what you have gone through but there is no need to feel sorry about.
This forum is a channel through which we are connected and can solve each other's problem, even when we hardly know each other, that is the best part of this forum.
This problem of yours was not at all silly and we all could relate to you because of one common thing between us, i.e we all are Human Resource Personnels and We all are human beings and we all have our shares of problems and worries.
I'm happy to read your last post and I was satisfied that all the members achieved one more success by solving this problem. But what you may be going through cannot be felt. :D
Take good care of yourself and BE happy.

hi,

as from what u have written i feel that your new boss is the one who would like to keep control on people. and the two team members are the ones who'll entertain his method of working.

i also feel that this may be a tactic adopted by this new fellow to force you to leave this organisation because you don't need 4-5 people in HR now and if you have a good track record you'll be a strong contender.

you also need to look into the history of this person , where was he earlier and how was he treating people there. if u can contact his old organisation and find out something about him may be you'll get some clue as to how you can handle this situation.

you can aslo try to show that you are not being affected with his decissions and you are a high spirited person, which will make this sadist boss of yours uncomfortable as he'll see that you don't get shaken easily.

He certainly won't answer you if u go and try talking to him so i don't think it is a nice idea. i think you should start looking for a new job also to be on the safer side.

god bless.

Dear Sally
I have read your mail and also the thread...peoples view. When you are low and sad...you must tell yourself, "I AM THE BEST"...it helps.
Regarding your case...you need to be emotionally very strong. What your boss has done...there can be many reasons:
1) Some loose comments by your colleagues...about you...to the boss.
2) Your past performance.
Chances are high for the first option to be correct. It is important that you share your views with your boss. Also, speak to your colleagues. Give you best to the task that you are handling. Don't let your self-esteem get effected by such incidents. In the career span...as long as yours...such things does happen.
Don't give any chance to anyone to speak about you. Handle the assignments that are given to you...to the best of your abilities.
Parallely, also look for other options...in the market.
Have a great day and take care.

Hi Saileena,
I read about wat happened to u. to be very honest wat i feel is tat if ur collegues r behaving in such a manner they r unprofessional
wen we r in a professional setting we need to control r emotions and behave like true professionals.
as i perceive u as a very dedicated person, i wud say tat do watever ur senior wants u to do wid utmost dedication and smile on ur face. also maintain a hi hello kind of relationship wid ur collegues. these are the tests tat life takes from u. and u have to pass them with execellency.
be a professionazl. leave feelings and emotions at home. these small things rf not going to harm u but will teach u and develop u in the long run. also it will help u to leazrn abt ppl.
atleazst those two collegues of urs r not even worth talking. so forget azbt them.
Take care.

Dear Saileenaa :

First of all Cheer up. Nothing is lost. When one door is closed, please do realise the other is open.

Well - we cannot choose the bosses but we can choose our own ways. If your boss who is very hard on you and had pulled out some of the major resp and given you miniscule responsibilities, do not take it to your heart. More so since you had talked to him and he has neglected you and shut the door on you.

Prove yourself that what ever the job be given to you, you can and will deal it to the fullest satisfaction of the superiors/management and your sub-ordinates.

Find the sub-ordinates whom you are dealing with as a stepping stone again and climb to the top again.

Do not loose your control. If you believe in Lord Almighty and God, please put all your confidence in Him and pray for better times.

Be happy that the boss has not asked you to quit or has terminated you which will be worst being without any earnings as well.

Do your duty with your utmost care and bring in more innovative, cost reduction, more productive methods of work and your Management including the hard-hearted boss will melt and bring you back up the ladder.

If you need a shoulder to cry on, please let me know and you can personally be in touch with me through my e-mail :

or .

I wd like to have a cheered up mail from you composing yourself and fully equipped to tackle the problems that are facing you. HR personnel cannot and should not fail and accept defeats. Cheer up Sally. The whole HR world is with you.

Be in touch,

with warmest regards
