Dear all,
One of my KRA says 10 days(to roll out the offer) to close Vacant positions..Apart from this am also responsible for Induction n orientation, performance appraisal system and employee relations.
earlier this lead time was for 35 days. When I spoke to my manager casually regarding this he modifed it as 10 days to close Jr positions and 15 days to close Sr postions. But am still not convinced because most of the vacant positions are jr level and will have a min of 10 positons vacant at a time.
Pls suggest me whether this is what is follwed every where and i need to accept this or will i have to request him for further review of the same.

One thing would like to add here is 35 days time to close the positions was given by my manger earlier and 10 is given by a diff person who is defining KRA for which my manager changed it to 10 days for Jr and 15 days for Sr positions.

Your boss is taking undue advantage of your junior position and ignorance. you have to take one sample case or few sample cases from senior and junior and practically work out how much time your internal system and procedure takes to approve such position for selection and from date of selection as per market pracitce what time these junior and senior positions wants notice period to enforced.
You can justify your KRA by adhering to practicle approach. Just because your boss will get upset you should not accept imaginary norms. You have to see the your company standard how they fill-up vacant position whether they offer salary inlieu of notice period to prespective candidate to join before due date. if yes then this shall be taken into account there are many options available to reduce filling up of vacant position provided your company management accept those options to reduce recruitment time.
