Maternity Leave During Probation [Thread 184067]

Hi, My wife is working with a private school since Oct 2008 and there is a probation period of 1 year. During probation period is an employee eligible for Maternity leave. Thanks, Prashant

Dear Prashant,
In my opinion probation period is not a hurdle in getting maternity benefit by a woman employee from his employer if this Act is applicable to the establishment where she is working.
