I was working for two years as recruitment executive in a consultancy, then left the job for financial reasons, then, the recession set in, :( there were hardly any jobs, later in a few months I got married to a defense officer and looking to get back to work but unable to get a job. As no ones willing to accept the 1 year break which is justified according to me. I want to move from recruitments to other aspects of HR but none seem to give an opportunity to move from consultant to corporates? Not sure where am I going wrong? Cananybody help/advice

Hi friend,
First of all, let me tell you that I have taken a break in my career and I had no problem getting a job after that due to the break. So as per experience I fail to understand why a break must matter more than your skills !
Anyway, now to avoid extending the gap, I would suggest that you please take up any decent job, even if its not exactly what you are looking for and then after a few months start looking for a more desirable job simultaneously.
It really wont help being idle; unless you are pursuing higher studies.
Hope this helps.
