Can we execute our tasks in a corporate entity without a boss? Perhaps, if we tried this for a week or more, we would know better. Until we become a boss, or a CEO of our own enterprise, the inevitablity of having a boss has to be accepted with open arms. A boss too has a boss, and he too has to go through the mill as we do.
While cordial relations with the boss is a must, we must try to collect as much information as posible on the boss as to his likes and dislikes, and the interactions we have with him will also indicate his iidosycrasies..
Rather than wholly viewing him as brash and brutal, cool and crafty, or dull and drab, his sterling qualities have to be studied over a period of time. If we step on his shoes, he can be a nightmare for us as long as we remain his subordinate. If there are personlality conflicts , options have to be thought of. But in an outfit, what is more important? It is not earning; it is learning, and that is education, of immense value. Without learning, and soon, climbing the managerial ladder is arduous. Learning has to begin from day one of one`s career, rather than waiting for years!
