Dear All, In our company, we are introducing PF and ESI. We already have Mediclaim. Is it compulsory to go for ESI along with PF as per the government norms? Pls guide me.

Dear Friend
Mediclaim Policy is purely a wish of the employer whereas the ESI is a state welfare measure and in every notified area it has to be implemented by the employers. It is applicable to those employees who are drawing salary 10000/- or less.
For any clarification please call me on 9452540134.
Thanks.

Hi Jayaseelan
Form 37 of ESIC is nothing but a form filled by the Employer in respect of an individual Employee to state that the same employee is continued to be kept in employment in the current contribution period. In other words, its just a form required by the ESIC from the worker to get confirmation form the Boss that this worker is still working in his organisation.
This form is demanded by the ESIC every nine months from the worker who goes for treatment. This renews your treatment period for nine months from the date of effect of this form.
Thank you and thanks Swetha
