Hi all we are a garment manufacturing company starting a new unit for exports in sez. we are into the process of getting business social compliance initiative certification by the end of this year. the major problem we are facing is piecerate payment method for workers. how can it be converted into wages? please add extra details if i am missing on something. thanks abhilasha
Wrong practice by hr:bifurcation of minimum wages into basic+hra or conveyence
Dear friends it has been noted that some of our hr personnel/management following wrong practices. i had conducted audits at more than 1100 exports houses/multinational companies all over indiabangladeshnepalchina....and found that approx 5 factories using the wrong practice of bifucation/splitted of minumum wages into basichra or basichraconveyence or other segmants. this is absolutely unacceptable the reason behind it to save employer money in terms of pf deductionleave encashmentbonus calculationgratuity calculation ect... i had been to one of the garment exports house situated at okhla phase1new delhi and found that they splitted minimum wages into basichra rather than bifucated into basicdaas per delhi govt notification. example: one of the employee was getting 4000/monthly and his salary splitted into basicrs. 2400hrars.1600 and the pf deducted from employee rs. 288 & employer given rs.288 however actual amount of pf was 480 from employee & from employer side 480. the employer has saved rs. 192 by using illigal way.the company employing 1500 employees in its group and saving big amount by this way. the same effects on bonusgratuity etc.... one thing keep in mind that minimum wages should not be less than the minimum wageswe have notification received from pf office stating that bifurcation of pf is not allowed it should deducts atleast on minimum wages. join hand to remove illigal practice in your areayour contribution towards employee benefits will be appreciable. best regards sajid ansari

Dear all i am working in a reputed export house based in panipat hr as a asst. compliance manager. and we are done all social ctpat bsci etc audit in this group. but now walmart byer required environmental compliance but we have not know about same like how can we control same. please provide related documents/ performs/ guide lines for environmental compliance.
