Hi,
I did btech in electronics and electrical and joined MBA in. I wanted to opt IT as major and HR as minor. I am totally confused whether to go for IT or Finance as my major. Please suggest my suitable combination keeping in view my engineering degree so that my MBA degree should be related to it hence boosting my career level.
And I am least interested in marketing field. But consider it if its extremely good for my career.
Streams offered by my college are:-
Finance
HR
Marketing
IT
Retail Management.
Thanks

Dear mohdnaveed03,
Select subject as per your interest. you are best to judge yourself. There is not need being part of rat race. Do what you want to do. Market change and change color very rapidly. Is it not necessary that field which is up today will remain always up. If you follow rat race then in future you might criticizes your decision. If you choose field according to your interest it will not only give you competitive advantage in long run but it will also save you from burn during downturn.
If you want to play others game (save game) then you go to IT or fin.
It depend whether you want to die happy or you want to die wealthy.

Guys,
It is always at your discretion to understand the nature of your own career roadmap [your area of interest vs. area of specialization vs. current job openings vs. the same's scope]. First set that, only then will you be able to make a conscious choice between electives of MBA or any other professional course.
