Hello Everyone...
I am working with a Forex firm we are planning to expand.. hence we are planning to take new intiatives.. Being the only HR for my company i want to intiate the training programmes... Request you please help me in below points
1. How to design a training programme.
2. How to select the subjects for training
3. How to identify people to whom traning will be provided and any important details incase i missed out..
Since i am totally strange to the traning department.. i would like really require you help and guidance in future as well...

Dear Leena,
Please follow the basic steps mentioned below:
1) Identify the skill gaps - Here first understand from the lina manager what are the skills required to perform the particular role. Once clear about that, understand whther the role holder (employee) possesses those sills. If not, it is clear that he needs training on those particular skills.
2) Training interventions can be a blend of functional, technical or behavioural skills. The skill gap anaylysis can be done for all 3 skills mentioned above.
3) Behavioural skills can be programmes conducted for masses - teambuilding, communication skills, time management, interpersonals skills etc.
4) Functional trainings need to suggested by Line.
Post all this you must contact good tarining agencies, brief them about the company, culture, processes, competencies (if mapped) and customise a nice programme.
