hope all of u r fine and doing well...
I was working on setting up a procedure where candidates would be recommended for medical check-up before joining our company.
Can some body help me in making a checklist of what all tests can be included while asking the candidates for a medical examination and also what format should we ask them to submit the reports in.

I don't know how useful the attached medical form will be, as it is for Police Recruits, but a lot of the questions would seem relevant to other kinds of jobs.
As well as a medical examination Police recruits also have to pass fitness and agility tests. These are less relevant to office or other professional kinds of work.

Dear karuna,
I am listing few of the examinationa required:
1.Urine test
2.Stool test
3. X-ray of the chest
4. Blood Test
I think these are basic tests required to examine any communicable disease & in general fitness of the cadidate

It Varies from industry to industry. For Example Complete medical examination is required for those people working in Pharma.
Some of the examination include Blood, Urine, Stool examination , X-ray to Chest , Eye check up , Skin test , Previous surgeries if any, contageous diseases if any, Hereditory diseases if any

Hi there!
I need to tell u ,plz make sure to conduct an HIV test for them besides the normal,blood,sugar,lipid profile etc.
HIV should be mandatory before recruting a person.
give the employee a medicalo letter staing his time of appointment with doctor and ask him to go the clinic n conduct the tests.
Ask the doctor to send u a detailed report on his health and a certificate cetrifying his fitness for employment.

I understand that medical examinations are used to ascertain the health of a candidate and understand if there is any illness which will
a) hinder his regular performance on the job.
b) infect other colleagues on the job.
Based on this, the employer can decide whether or not to employ the candidate.
I am not sure an HIV test will be ethical. What will it prove? Eliminating a candidate based on an HIV test would not be show the organization in a good light. Of course, one need not disclose the medical results, but equally, I understand that an HIV test should not be administered without consent of the candidate.
Would like to have the viewpoints of other members on this topic.

Tie up with a reputed hospital’s pathology department. They will give you a list of tests that are usually required to determine medical fitness for employment.
You can ask the hospital to send the medical reports directly to you / company. This will eliminate any fudging and / or manipulation of the reports if any.
