Dear Seniors, I'am working in an IT company which came into existence in 2006. When I joined the organization there was no HR department. I started with scratch and established a HR department. Friends when I joined the organization I was completely a fresher. Now organization wants to give me training but does not know what kind of training will be useful. I request all of you plz help me on this and let me the important trainings that can help me and organization. I hve done MBA (Regular). What all I learnt was theoretical. Now I want to learn complete HR operation & also what trainings will help me in Business strategic. Plz let me know the name of courses & the institute or consultancy provides such trainings. In hope of a quick response.

Hi Durga,
I can understand your situation as many times people with non HR / Personnel background take up the challenges in HR and actually do very well. In my opinion, assuming that you will now be well versed with all routine functions of a Generalist HR like Recruitment, Attendance, Leaves, payroll, PF etc. I would advise you to get yourself trained on
Managing Change
Organizational Development
Complaince Handling
Employee relations
Leadership skills
Motivation & Morale
... any other area relate dto soft skills where you would yourself want to get exposure.
