I would like to know how to calculate salary for employee as per HR rule I explain u following example:
Suppose minimum monthly wages fixed Rs. 3692 for a unskilled worker
for month of Jan his attendance 7 days + one weekly off = 8 days
should i calculate salary as :
3692 / 31 = 119 * 8 = 952
or
3692 / 26 = 142 * 7 = 994

Dear Rajesh Rai
The salary has to calculated by dividing the numer of days in a calendar month and multiply the result with (No. of working days + Leave days {if with pay} + National Holidays + Festival Holidays + Rest days).
In the present case the calaculation for month of Jan where you have stated that his attendance is for 7 days + one weekly off. The caluculations has to be like this:-
In month of Jan. one National Holiday falls i.e. 26th January. Thus you have to pay him for 7(Working Days)+1(National Holiday)+1(Rest Day)=9
3692 / 31 = 119 * 9 = 1072/-

HI Deepak, i have a query in MINIMUM WAGES, THE MIN WAGE MUST BE BASIC OR GROSS??? Say if for one category min wage is RS.4577, how we shoULd take this gross or PF? THANKS IN ADVANCE jai

hello dear deepak thanks a lot for the information i have some questions on leave management... i have undergone a work shop on statutory compliances n pay roll processing but my trainer might have forgot to tell about the leave management so please could u tell me the various types of leaves n calculation of those leaves during the sal calculation...
