Hi,
I'm living and working as HR in UAE, My question is: why HRA is 40%??????? and Transportation almost 20%???? and Others recorded as strange categories?????????
Are there any Legal Issue for this? or it's internationals standards?
All the Thanks
BTW Seniors Not Seriors ;)

Dear, Where did you get this percentages from?? Please be more specific with the question. There are no fixed % for fixing salary components. It varies with the industries. Regards
Dear Awvik,
That's what I'm trying to say... here in UAE HR ppl Try their best to not exceed 40% house allownce.. I know it's important to reduce the basic because of End of service, but why to not exceed 40%.. and then to transfer the compensation into transportation.. then to transfer to some other category!!
thank you for your replay... hope I was enough specifice now ;)

dear assil
there is no international or national law in this regard but when we bifurcate salary we take income tax point of view in consideration ,so that employee should be able to get maximum benefit from income tax.see in india 40% of basic shown as HRA is exempted from income tax if you weill produced rent receipt in all cities except metro.
in metro cities it is 50% so we give 50% HRA in metros. conveyance is 800 rupees exempted from income tax so conveyance we show 2800 only no fixed percentage.
there is no fixed law for bifurcation of salaries but taking income tax point of view in consideration we bifurcate salary.
